About Wags n Words
When they need to go out and you’re not there…
Dogs need their exercise, but sometimes our lives are so busy we can’t give them all the attention they want and deserve. At Wags n’ Words we offer a valued service providing your beloved canine companion with the exercise, adventure, and socialization they want and deserve when you can’t be there.
Wags n’ Words is a dog walking service designed around meeting your dog’s needs AND fitting into your busy schedule. We take dogs on leashed walks in your neighborhood and give them an opportunity to meet new friends, play in safe, enclosed areas, and take care of their necessary business.
If you know your pooch would love a walk with Rubin and his buddies or even alone, please contact us about our services. We’d love to meet with you and discuss options for helping you take care of your dog. We can also recommend other dog services that might be of benefit to you and your dog such as dog walkers who take packs to off leash parks, therapeutic massage and rehabilitation, or finding a vet in your area. We’d love to hear from you so send us an email or give us a call at 206-755-3119.
We service the following neighborhoods: Mount Baker, Madison Valley, the Central District, Judkins Park, Capital Hill, Beacon Hill, Seward Park and all the connecting neighborhoods in between!

Gretchen the dog walker…
After 22 years of teaching, Gretchen Dietz retired and started her own business as a dog walker (well she does lots of other things too like freelance writing). Dogs and writing have always been her passions outside of the classroom so it was only natural she put down her lesson plan book and picked up a leash (or two or three or four!). After years of herding cats (teaching middle school students) she’s learned a thing or two about managing her time, being responsible for precious cargo, and following through on her commitments. She’d love to meet your dog and spend time playing and walking with your canine companion!
Rubin the Dog Blogger…
Hello, my name is Rubin and I have recently learned to blog or keep an online journal of my adventures as a dog dog walker. Each week we see a number of “clients” though I like to think of them as friends. On our site you can find out about the adventures we take. It’s organized by each day and is written by me, the labradoodle assistant to Gretchen. The Wags to her Words, so to speak, though on the blog, I get to put the Words to our Wags.
If you’re already a friend, you can find photos of your dog engaged in all sorts of doggy activities like fetch, walking, swimming, visiting, sniffing, hiking, playing, and being our adorable and sometimes ornery selves. Check out my Dog Blog on our homepage and find the day you are most interested in at the left of the screen to read my account of our adventures!
